We have launched a new £1 million Displacement Education Fund to address the specific challenges that children and young people who have been displaced by conflict face in accessing quality education. This includes having a safe space to learn and a stable, trusted adult presence, being able to learn in their own language, and receiving the post-trauma support that they need in order to heal, thrive and learn.
The Displacement Education Fund will support projects working with displaced children and young people both internationally and in the UK.
Organisations who already hold a current BFSS grant are eligible to apply to this new fund, provided at least one progress report has been approved for their current grant. New projects, or projects which have started within the past 12 months, will be eligible.
Funding is available for up to two years, and BFSS will consider applications from UK registered charities, schools and educational establishments and local community groups.
The fund is open for applications. There is no deadline, as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
