Subsidiary Trusts Administered by the Society

Alfred Bourne Trust

Helps those undertaking education up to the age of 30. The trust has an income of about £1,000 per year and grants are unlikely to exceed £350.

Berridge Trust

Supports the training of teachers of cookery or nutrition. It has an income of about £2,000 per year.

British School Charity

Provides grants in support of education in the Saffron Walden area for students up to the age of 25. Most grants go to schools but some individual grants are made from an annual income of about £10,000.

The British School Trust

Provides annual grants to the student welfare funds at London South Bank University, Tower Hamlets College and Southwark College. No grants are made to individuals other than by those institutions.

The Rowlett Educational Foundation

Supports training and education of students under 25 in Corby from an income of £2,000 per year.

Sarah Walker and Spafford Fund

Provides an annual grant to the University of Durham for student travel. No individual grants are made other than by the University.

South Church Educational Fund

Supports education in the Wear Valley from an income of about £2,000 per year.
