BFSS Grants

Each year the BFSS awards grants totalling approximately £200,000 for educational projects world-wide.

Included are approximately 20 International Awards. More details are available on the International Award.

The Society also has limited funds available through a number of small Trust Funds to help educational establishments and individuals. These funds cover specific geographic locations:

BFSS Trust:  London Borough of Bermondsey, Bethnal Green, Poplar, Southwark and Stepney.
Rowlett Educational Foundation:  Corby.
British School Charity:  Saffron Walden.
South Church Educational Fund:  Upper Wear Valley
Alfred Bourne:  A general UK fund for students under 30. This fund only awards grants totalling £1,000 in any one year.
Because funding is limited for applicants to be successful they are likely to be in their final year of GCSE, 'A' level or a first degree and to have specific funding difficulties.
Berridge Trust:  Training of teachers of cookery/nutrition.

For all grants, written application may be made to:-

Mr Charles Crawford, Director
The British and Foreign School Society
Maybrook House
Godstone Road
Caterham
Surrey CR3 6RE.

A stamped, addressed envelope should be enclosed for reply.
Applications should NOT be made by e-mail.
We regret that the archive centre cannot accept grant applications for the society.
