			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On 21st March 2012 Professor Richard Aldrich, BFSS Vice-President, visited <strong>Into</strong>University&#8217;s Haringey Centre to present a cheque for £15,000 on behalf of the BFSS.    The Centre offers support to young people aged 7-18 from disadvantaged backgrounds and helps them to achieve educational success and  go on  to attain a university place or other chosen aspiration.    Among the children whom Professor Aldrich met were pupils from Lancasterian Primary School, a former BFSS school in Tottenham.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On 13th February the BFSS Chair, Roger Howarth, and the Director, Imogen Wilde, attended a dinner at Windsor Castle hosted by HRH the Prince of Wales to celebrate the role of donors and partners in helping the British Asian Trust to transform the lives of more than 350,000 poor people across South Asia through education, health and livelihood initiatives.    The Chair and Director of BFSS had opportunity to meet HRH the Prince of Wales and tell him about the work of BFSS including the Society&#8217;s support through the Trust for the Developments in Literacy project in Pakistan.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Brunel University is holding a special exhibition from Tuesday 13 September – Friday 23 September which draws on resources from the BFSS Archive to celebrate the University&#8217;s sporting heritage and alumni Olympic and Paralympic success.   The exhibition includes photographs, trophies, sports kit and first-hand accounts of sporting experiences.   The exhibition is in the Brunel University Council Chamber and is open from 10am to 5pm.</p>
<p>In addition the University’s collection of limited edition Cultural Posters from the 1972 Munich games will be on display in the Beldam Gallery from Monday 12 September -  Friday 14 October.   This eclectic collection of 27 works has designs by David Hockney, Joseph Albers and Paul Wunderlich and others.</p>
<p> All events are free and there is no need to book.</p>
