The British & Foreign School Society

The Society was founded in 1808 and was established formally as a charity by Royal Charter in 1906. It is registered with the Charity Commission as charity number 314286. There are a minimum of 12 people on the Board of Trustees, known as the Council of the Society. There are three main subsidiary committees, the Executive Committee, the Investments Committee and the Grants Committee.
